> In 1989 Korea won the Champions Trophy in Frankfurt am Main. At Mar del Plata in 1995, they claimed silver losing the final to Australia after penalty strokes.
> Korea are winless is their last 7 CT encounters with European opposition (2 draws – 5 defeats) since beating England 2-1 at Sydney 2003.
> Korea won the 4 Nations tournament, held in Cordoba prior to the 2012 Champions Trophy. Korea beat Great Britain 3-2 in the final. Argentina finished third, New Zealand fourth.
